Dr. Claire McCarthy
Dr. Claire McCarthy knew she wanted to be a dentist since the seventh grade. Inspired by her own childhood dentist and interested in pursuing a career in which she would be able to help people, Dr. McCarthy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Georgetown University in 2011 before going on to earn her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2015. While at Tufts, she did research on Treacher Collin’s Syndrome, a craniofacial condition that alters the development of facial bones and tissues, and was also awarded the Alumni Clinical Excellence Award in General Dentistry. Following her training, she had the honor of being selected to participate in the Massachusetts Dental Society Leadership Institute.
Dr. McCarthy joined the Epic Dental team in 2016. Since then, she has thoroughly enjoyed working in a welcoming, patient-centered environment with a group of talented, compassionate professionals dedicated to providing the best dental care available. She loves that every day in dentistry brings something new and different.
Dr. McCarthy understands that for some people, going to the dentist is not something they look forward to. Therefore, she focuses on doing whatever she can to make each patient’s experience a positive one. She prides herself on taking the time to really get to know her patients personally and listen to their concerns so she can make their visit as comfortable as possible.
Originally from Wayland, MA, Dr. McCarthy currently lives in Boston. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, doing yoga, and spending time with her friends, family, and boyfriend (who is also a General Dentist).
