Dr. Felipe Moreno
Growing up in Medellin, Colombia, Dr. Felipe Moreno had aspirations of a career in healthcare from a young age, following in the footsteps of his physician grandfather and uncles. Inspired by their example of offering a valued service to the community with skill and compassion, Dr. Moreno was drawn to the idea of pursuing work that could make a difference in the lives of others. While in high school, he began exploring dentistry and came to view it as the unique blend of science and art that it is. Combined with his interest in working with people and attracted to a career where he could work with his hands, he knew that dentistry was the perfect path for him.
Dr. Moreno received his DMD degree from CES University in Colombia before moving to Boston in 1995. Once here, he earned a second DMD from Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Later, Dr. Moreno taught postgraduate pediatric dental students at BU as well.
As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Moreno enjoys the opportunity to watch his patients grow from infants to young adults and be part of their transformation. His goal is to empower, educate, and engage his patients to take pride in their oral health. From the first visit, he creates a fun, welcoming environment and encourages a positive view of dentistry to ensure a lifetime of healthy smiles. Dr. Moreno finds great satisfaction in helping his patients enjoy their dental visits rather than feel anxious about them. To him, success is hearing patients say they love coming to the dentist and seeing the positive impact he is able to make on their lives.
Dr. Moreno is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Massachusetts Dental Society. He enjoys volunteering his time promoting oral health by visiting day cares and schools in the community. In his spare time, he loves to read, travel, go horseback riding, and stay active at the gym and outdoors.
