Dr. Jasun Mahaffey
As an Orthodontist, Dr. Jasun Mahaffey believes in the power of a beautiful smile. However, he also understands that his work—and his relationship with his patients—extends far beyond just straightening teeth and making them look great. His personal treatment philosophy involves educating patients and addressing the source of their dental issues. This leads to better long-term results when it comes to aesthetics, function, and overall health for the patient. When you and your child meet with Dr. Mahaffey (known by his patients as “Dr. Jasun”), you can expect quality, comprehensive care, clear communication, and a genuine personal interest in you and/or your child’s well-being.
Dr. Jasun received his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, He then went on to attend Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he earned his DMD and also received specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Jason feels that his education has equipped him with the skills and insight to treat all variations of dental malocclusions for both children and adults. Dr. Jasun likes to keep himself informed of all the latest information, technologies, and techniques pertaining to his orthodontics and dental health and attends continuing education courses regularly. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Originally from Norwood, MA where he graduated from Norwood High School, Dr. Jasun takes great pride in being able to serve the local community where he grew up. He likes to spend his free time with his lovely wife, Dr. Helen Fassil, who is also one of our Epic team members. He enjoys reading, fitness, meditation, and traveling. With some family still in the Norwood area, don’t be surprised if you see him around town!
