Tooth-Colored
Composite Fillings

Pediatric Dentistry Tooth-Colored
Composite Fillings

Despite our best efforts and intentions, it is common for a child (or adult) to get a cavity at some point in their growth and development. When we discover an area of decay, we fix it with a tooth-colored restoration, commonly known as a filling.

At Epic Dental, we use a BPA-free, resin-based composite material for all fillings. Resin-based composites are safe and effective. They bond strongly to teeth, enabling the dentist to avoid removing healthy tooth structure.

How are composite fillings placed?
A composite filling can be completed in a single appointment. The dentist will numb your child’s teeth and gums with an anesthetic, then gently remove the decay and place the filling. Finally, the dentist will check the filling’s contours and the child’s bite.

Our dentists use the latest technology and safest materials to create fillings that offer superior fit, function, aesthetics, and longevity. As with natural teeth, proper oral hygiene, good eating habits, and regular dental visits are recommended to extend the life of the filling and ensure your child’s comfort and health.

Feel free to contact us at our pediatric dental office if you have any questions about composite fillings, or if you’d like to schedule a consultation with one of our dentists. We proudly serve Norwood, Walpole, and surrounding areas.
